Navotthan-A New Beginning was an initiative by Parijai Genus Pvt. Ltd. to spread awareness for reusability and motivate children to enhance their creativity since 2018. An event aimed at finding out the talent from every corner.

Parijai Genus in association with DLF City Centre organized their yearly event on 6, 7 & 8th May at DLF City Centre Mall, IT Park, Chandigarh. With a special Mother’s Day edit, the objective of conducting the event was bringing an awareness amongst children on how to make use of the waste and to make them aware of the importance air, water and soil.

Under the association of Antrajaal, WICCI, Cloud Nine Hospitals and Radio Partner Big FM, 100+ children from various schools, colleges, slums and NGOs participated in the event. The event was graced by the Chief guests, Ms Ritu Singal (Women entrepreneur of the year 2011 and author of “A Story Can Change Your Life”), Mr. Vivek Atray(Ex IAS, Mentor, Advisor, Columnist, Author of “Finding Success Within”), Mr. Gurdev Singh Atwal(DTP, Gmada) and Sh. Mohinder Tuli(Eminent Artist). A happiness workshop by Ms. Vandana Goel (Happiness Coach) was held to cheer up the participants. Ms. Tavishi Kumar, Founder at Shri Shiksha launched the Happy Youth movement.

The eminent speakers Mr. Kiran Kurwade, Dr. Shaveta Garg will be engaging the participants on different aspects of life.

The categories of Competitions were: Free Hand Brushless Painting on the theme Air, Water & Soil and Create from Waste.

A Self Watering Activity was conducted by Ms. Ekta Gupta (Founder at Parijai Genus), wherein a demonstration of creating a Self -Watering Pot with a plastic bottle was witnessed.

Under this Green activity, the participants took a pledge to not to throw away the plastic bottles rather use it for the environment and promote reusability of single use plastic bottles.

The enthusiasm of the participants was amazing. Children were allowed to try their hand in pottery to connect them to the soil and age old custom. The Prizes were distributed to the winners under different categories. All participants were given Ajwain plant samplings, a spice good for the gut, where by inculcating the habit of Go Green Gifting.
